The Dukes Imperfect Marg is a simplified take on the classic margarita, featuring reposado tequila for a smoother, slightly aged flavor profile. This "imperfect" version uses a sweet and sour mix rather than separate lime juice and simple syrup, making it quick and easy to prepare while still delivering the bright, tangy flavor that margarita lovers crave.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Casadores Reposado tequila
  • 0.5 oz Cointreau
  • Sweet & sour mix (equal parts lime juice and sugar)

Directions

  1. Prepare a martini glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping in salt.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add tequila, Cointreau, and sweet & sour mix to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously until well-chilled.
  5. Strain into the prepared martini glass.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge on a stick.

Sweet & Sour Mix

  1. Combine equal parts freshly squeezed lime juice and sugar.
  2. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
